Description (merchant text, shortened)

Effortless Length for Light to Medium Oil

About the Typhoon

Powerful. Precise. The Storm Typhoon builds momentum with every rotation before unleashing its full force down-lane. Built for light to medium oil, it pairs the symmetric Atmos A.I. Core with the clean Reactor Pearl Reactive coverstock for effortless length up front and a strong, controlled motion off the backend.

The Typhoon clears the front of the lane with ease and saves its energy for the breakpoint. The Reactor Pearl cover pushes cleanly through the heads, while the Power Edge polish fine-tunes the friction for a clean, consistent transition. Designed for everyone, even bowlers who prefer lighter weights, the Typhoon delivers more performance than you would expect.

Understanding the Storm Atmos A.I. Core and Storm Reactor Pearl Reactive

Storm built the Typhoon for clean length on lighter oil. Specifically, the symmetric Atmos A.I. Core produces a controllable, readable motion, while the Reactor Pearl cover at a Power Edge polish conserves energy through the front of the lane and stores it for a strong, controlled move at the breakpoint. As a result, it gets down the lane easily and finishes strong on light to medium oil, with availability down to lighter weights for a wider range of bowlers. The full per-weight specifications are listed below.

A Symmetric Core for Controllable Length and a Clean Read

At the heart of the Typhoon is the symmetric Atmos A.I. Core. At 15 lb it measures RG 2.53 and a .042 differential, numbers that produce a controllable motion with medium flare, tuned for length and a clean, readable shape. As a symmetric core, it reads the lane predictably and repeats the same motion shot after shot.

That controllable shape is what lets the Typhoon build momentum and unleash it at the breakpoint without over-hooking on lighter oil. The core also extends to lighter weights, where a higher RG keeps the ball clean and easy to control, so newer and lighter-weight bowlers get a real performance reaction they can manage.

A Polished Pearl Cover for Clean Length and a Strong Finish

The Typhoon wraps that core in Storm's Reactor Pearl Reactive coverstock at a Power Edge polish. The pearl additive and polished surface conserve energy through the front of the lane, so the ball clears the heads with ease, then makes a strong, controlled move when it reaches the friction, effortless length with a clean, consistent transition.

That clean length is exactly what light to medium oil rewards. The Reactor Pearl gets the Typhoon down the lane without burning up early, then finishes strong off the dry. Leave it polished for the most length, or take the surface down at your pro shop for an earlier read when there is a bit more oil.
