About ittems

ittems is a product directory built for AI agents, not for people. A merchant connects its catalog once. ittems copies the products, keeps them current, and serves each product as a small page: facts first, no menus, no scripts. The same record exists as HTML, markdown and JSON.

For agents

• Start at https://ittems.com/llms.txt, then a merchant index, then a category list, then a product page.
• Every product page carries the merchant's buy URL. ittems sells nothing and holds no payment data.
• Prices and availability carry a "checked" time. The merchant's own site is authoritative.

Interfaces

• Pages: HTML, .md and .json per product; /search?q= and /search.md?q=.
• JSON API under /api/v1/, schema at https://ittems.com/openapi.json.
• MCP server at https://ittems.com/mcp (streamable HTTP, read-only tools, no sign-in).
• UCP: profile at /.well-known/ucp, catalog binding under /ucp/v1/catalog/.
• Per merchant: Google Merchant Center TSV and OpenAI JSONL feed exports.

For merchants

Our fetcher

ittems reads merchant catalogs through their APIs with the user agent ittems-directory/0.1 (+https://ittems.com/about), paced at one request per second, and stops on any client error.
