## Description (merchant text, shortened)
A Sought-After Asymmetric Returns, Upgraded

About the Alpha Crux

The Storm Alpha Crux returns as one of the most sought-after bowling balls in Storm history, now upgraded for the modern game. It pairs the proven asymmetric Catalyst A.I. Core with the new GI-26 Solid Reactive coverstock from Storm's Game Improvement System, a strong, early-reading combination built to dominate medium-heavy oil.

The Alpha Crux reads the lane early and drives hard. The asymmetric Catalyst core supplies heavy flare and a strong, defined motion, while the GI-26 Solid cover at a 2000-grit finish digs into the oil for traction. The result is a powerful, controllable asymmetric reaction for bowlers who need their ball to handle volume and still finish strong.

Understanding the Storm Catalyst A.I. Core and Storm GI-26 Solid Reactive

Storm built the Alpha Crux for strong, early-reading traction. Specifically, the asymmetric Catalyst A.I. Core has a low RG and a strong differential, so it revs early with heavy flare and a defined, continuous shape, while the GI-26 Solid cover at a 2000-grit finish grabs the front and mid-lane for traction on heavier volume. As a result, it delivers powerful, controllable hook for medium-heavy oil. The full per-weight specifications are listed below.

A Strong, Low-RG Asymmetric Core for Heavy Flare

At the heart of the Alpha Crux is the asymmetric Catalyst A.I. Core. At 15 lb it measures RG 2.48, a strong .053 differential, and a .018 intermediate differential (mass bias), numbers that produce heavy flare and a strong, defined asymmetric motion. The low RG revs the ball early, while the high differential supplies the flare to clear medium-heavy oil.

That strong, early-revving shape is exactly what makes the Alpha Crux such a sought-after piece. The asymmetric core drives hard and continuously through the pins rather than rolling out. Because it is asymmetric, layout has a strong influence on the reaction, so your pro shop can tune the pin and mass bias to your game.

A Game Improvement System Solid Cover for Early Traction

The Alpha Crux wraps that core in Storm's new GI-26 Solid Reactive coverstock, from the Game Improvement System, at a 2000-grit finish. The sanded solid cover grabs the front and mid-lane early and hard, delivering the traction needed to handle heavier volume, then drives continuously through the pins.

That strong, early read is what lets the Alpha Crux control oil that pushes weaker covers down the lane. The GI-26 solid digs in, and the Catalyst core turns that traction into powerful, continuous hook. Leave it at the 2000-grit box surface for maximum traction, or polish it up at your pro shop for a cleaner, longer read when the volume drops.
