The signature 3-to-1 differential ratio that helped define the original Vexed's motion remains intact, while an increase in total differential adds more flare and overall performance.\n\nPaired with the HK22C+ Solid coverstock, the Vexed Variant generates noticeably earlier traction and more total hook than the original Vexed. Radical's R&D testers consistently found the Variant to be the stronger overall option, giving bowlers a clear step up when they need more traction. It streets October 22, 2026 in Navy / Royal Blue.\n\nUnderstanding the Radical Vexed Variant Asymmetric Core and Radical HK22C+ Solid Reactive\n\nThe Vexed Variant uses an updated asymmetric Vexed core: 2.490 RG, .045 differential and .015 intermediate differential at 15 lb, keeping the Vexed's 3-to-1 differential ratio with more total differential. It is paired with the HK22C+ Solid cover at a 500, 2000 Siaair Micro Pad finish, designed for heavier oil. DynamiCore adds hitting power and durability. The 13 and 12 lb weights use a dedicated core (2.589 RG, .043 differential at 13 lb).\n\nThe Vexed Core, With More Differential\n\nThe Vexed Variant Asymmetric core is an updated version of the proven Vexed core. At 15 lb it measures a 2.490 RG, .045 differential and .015 intermediate differential. The signature 3-to-1 ratio between total and intermediate differential stays intact, which keeps the predictable, continuous motion the Vexed line is known for.\n\nWhat changes is the total differential, up from .036 on the original Vexed to .045, which adds more flare and overall performance. As with the Evil Eye and the original Vexed, Radical has developed six drilling options to match the ball to your game. The 13 and 12 lb weights measure 2.589 / .043 / .011 and 2.612 / .043 / .011.\n\nEarlier Traction for Heavier Oil\n\nThe Vexed Variant uses the HK22C+ Solid coverstock at a 500, 2000 Siaair Micro Pad finish. That sanded solid reads the lane early, and with the stronger core it generates noticeably earlier traction and more total hook than the original Vexed.\n\nDesigned for heavier oil conditions, it combines increased hook and flare potential with the strong, continuous motion needed to keep driving through the pins. DynamiCore in the core adds hitting power and durability.\n\nVexed Variant Specs\n\nRG and differential vary by weight. Specifications provided by the manufacturer.\n\nWho This Ball Is Right For\n\n✓Vexed Owners: The same Vexed shape, stepped up with more differential and earlier traction\n\n✓Tournament Players: A strong, predictable opener for heavier oil\n\n✓Speed-Dominant Players: Early traction and more flare to get the ball turning\n\n✓Layout Tinkerers: Radical offers six drilling options to match the ball to your game\n\nGood to Know Before You Buy\n\n·Strong, aggressive motion: This is a high-flare piece built for traction. If you want a controlled, lower-hook reaction, a lower-differential ball will suit you better.\n\n·Ships sanded for traction: The 500, 2000 Siaair Micro Pad finish is built to grip in oil. Polish it for more length when the volume drops.\n\n·Asymmetric layout sensitivity: Layout choices shift the reaction more than on a symmetric ball. Match the pin and mass bias to your game with your pro shop.\n\n·Colors vary: Actual colors vary somewhat from the photos shown; no two balls come out of the mold exactly alike.\n\n·Tiny pit holes are normal: A few tiny pit holes in the coverstock are a normal part of the manufacturing process.\n\n·Sold undrilled: Ships without finger holes, so it can be fitted to your hand and span.\n\nBowlersMart Tips: Where the Vexed Variant Fits in Your Radical Arsenal\n\nWhere It Fits in Your Arsenal\n\nIn the Radical lineup, the Vexed Variant is the heavy-oil step above the original Vexed. Open with the Variant on fresh, heavier oil; move to the Vexed or a cleaner ball like the Evil Eye Pearl as the lanes open up.\n\nSurface Adjustments\n\nThe 500, 2000 Siaair Micro Pad finish ships sanded for an earlier, stronger read. Polish it up at your pro shop for more length when the volume drops, or refresh the box surface to restore the traction. Have surface changes done at your pro shop for an even, consistent finish.\n\nCoverstock Care\n\nReactive covers absorb oil over time, which softens the reaction. Wipe the ball down after every set and deep clean it periodically so the HK22C+ Solid cover keeps the motion it shipped with.\n\nEarn points on every Radical purchase through the Striking Rewards loyalty program. Every ball you add to your arsenal builds toward your next reward.\n\nShop With Confidence at BowlersMart\n\nThe Radical Vexed Variant Bowling Ball ships free with no minimum purchase and is backed by our 60-day return policy.
