## Description (merchant text, shortened)
A Strong, Early-Reading Asymmetric for Heavy Oil

About the Spawn

The Hammer Spawn is a strong, aggressive asymmetric built to dig into heavy oil. It pairs the asymmetric Gauntlet Core with the HK22C2 Solid coverstock at a coarse finish, delivering big flare and an early, hard-driving read on medium to heavy oil. It is a heavy-oil workhorse for bowlers who need early traction and strong drive.

The Spawn reads early and rolls strong. The asymmetric Gauntlet core stores energy for a defined breakpoint, while the HK22C2 Solid cover at a 1000-grit finish grabs the midlane hard. The result is a strong, controllable hook that gets into a roll quickly, ideal for fresh, heavy oil.

Understanding the Hammer Gauntlet Core and Hammer HK22C2 Solid Reactive

Hammer built the Spawn for a strong, early read on medium to heavy oil. Specifically, the asymmetric Gauntlet Core posts a 2.501 RG, a strong .050 differential, and a .012 intermediate differential, numbers that produce high flare and an early, defined breakpoint, while the HK22C2 Solid cover at a 1000-grit finish reads the midlane early and drives through the pins. As a result, it gives you strong, early traction with a continuous backend. The per-weight specifications are listed below.

A Strong Asymmetric Core for Early Roll and Flare

At the heart of the Spawn is the asymmetric Gauntlet Core. At 15 lb it measures a 2.501 RG, a strong .050 differential, and a .012 intermediate differential, a combination that produces high track flare and an early, defined breakpoint. The strong differential gives the ball the flare to clear heavy oil while the asymmetric design adds a defined move at the spot.

Because the Gauntlet core is asymmetric, layout has a strong influence on the reaction, so your pro shop can tune the pin and intermediate differential to control how early and how strong the Spawn plays.

A Coarse HK22C2 Solid That Digs Into Heavy Oil

The Spawn wraps that core in Hammer's HK22C2 Solid Reactive coverstock at a coarse 1000-grit finish. The premium HK22C2 solid and aggressive sanded surface grab the midlane early, so the ball gets into a strong roll on heavy oil and drives continuously through the pins rather than skidding too far down the lane.

That early, traction-first read paired with the strong Gauntlet core is what makes the Spawn a heavy-oil workhorse: it digs in on real volume and keeps driving. Leave it at the 1000-grit box finish for maximum traction on heavy oil, or polish it up at your pro shop for a cleaner, longer read as the lanes transition.
